Rick CagneyRick has almost 50 years of experience as an attorney, mediator, arbitrator, negotiator and businessman. His background includes civil and criminal litigation, antitrust, oil and gas, international, corporate, government, non-profit, technology, education, real estate and small business consulting.
Rick has certifications in Family-Divorce-Child Custody Mediation and Elder and Adult Family Mediation. He is also a parent coordinator/facilitator and a guardian ad litem.
Rick is currently President of the Houston Gerontological Society and Immediate Past President of the Association for Conflict Resolution – Houston Chapter.
As a fifth generation Texan whose great-great-grandfather fought with the Texian Army during the Texas Revolution, Rick is a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas.
For his work with the Texas Thoroughbred Racing Association in bringing horse racing to the State of Texas, Rick was made a Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1994.
