The parties themselves make the decisions in mediation, as opposed to litigation, where the judge decides the outcome.

Nothing you say during mediation can be used against you in litigation.

Nor can the mediator be required to testify in your court case.

Mediation can result in creative remedies that are not available in litigation. 

Mediation is cheaper and quicker than litigation.

Mediation helps preserve families and relationships.
